GET YOUR GED… FOR FREE!

The question we are most often asked is, “How much does it cost?”  The answer is easy – nothing!  Enrollment, evaluation, resources, instruction, tutoring, testing, and even graduation are ALL no cost to the student!

We strive to remove any obstacle that stands in the way of a student reaching his or her goals.  As such, we offer a number of virtual offerings including:
∙  Online enrollment
∙  Online skill level evaluation
∙  Instruction via Zoom
∙  Individualized Tutoring
∙   All Resources
∙  Testing

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

ESL

We offer English as a Second Language classes that are held twice a week.  Along with standard instruction, the teacher employs an immersive methodology that allows the students to practice their language skills as they interact with one another in a social setting.

We have greatly expanded our class offerings by opening a class in Radcliff to better service those in the Northern part of Hardin County.

WORKFORCE EDUCATION

Thousands of jobs are coming to this Region in the next three years and we are working closely with business and industry to ready the workforce.

This includes offering access to GED credentialing that may be necessary for those jobs, but also creating partnerships to help employees “skill up” for any test they may need to take within the confines of what is required by the partner company.

We actively seek to create even more partnership opportunities in an effort to ready the workforce for the upcoming economic growth.

CORRECTIONS EDUCATION

Heartland Adult Education teaches ServSafe in the local correctional facilities. The course provides lessons on safe food preparation, handling, storing, and safety. Also included in the curriculum is a customer service course that teaches the students best practices and conflict resolution. Students earn an additional certificate for its completion.

In addition, we have partnered with local food establishments (ServSafe Partners) who are willing to offer interviews to those presenting the completed certificate.

COLLEGE PREP

Sometimes, a student just needs a little refresher to help him or her reach their next level. We offer students instruction that will prepare them for college entrance and/or placement exams.

Our College and Career Navigator (CCN) will assist those interested in post secondary education in choosing a career goal and planning the educational path it will take to get there.

The CCN will also counsel the student on financial aid, credentialing, and transfer opportunities.
